Vamos construir um glossário de palavras e expressões em inglês que forem encontradas durante a elaboração do trabalho e a leitura de textos sobre o eDay.

Electronic waste already represent 5% of all waste produced by mankind. That means 50 million tonnes are thrown away every year by the world's population.
A 2006 report titled e-Waste in New Zealand: taking responsibility for end-of-life computers and TVs prepared by the Computer Access NZ Trust estimated that there are 16 million ELECTRONIC devices CURRENTLY in use in New Zealand, including 10 million cathode ray tubes (CRTs), and with nearly one million being added each year.

The project is part of the Brazilian Programme for Digital Inclusion and emerged from a PARTNERSHIP between the Ministry of Planning and the Marist Network for Education and Solidarity, part of the Roman Catholic order of Marist Brothers.
As in the others, CRC of Porto Alegre is located in a poor suburb. There, 88 young people from low-income families receive a scholarship that allows them to learn to dismantle, recondition, adapt and rebuild equipment, install free software, and programme and configure computers.
The recycling of the computer equipment to be collected this year will be managed under an agreement between the Ministry for the Environment and an external recycler, who is still to be appointed.
The Ministry for the Environment will be overseeing this process; they will have a have a contract with the selected recycling provider, that will include reporting and monitoring requirements.
"In 2008, there were 12 million computers sold in this country.
